2014 Expansion

In 2014 Essex X-Ray significantly expanded their current premises. This expansion is part of a long term strategic growth plan that has seen the size of the business increase by a third.

Phase one of the expansion began in August 2014. The improvement works involved Essex X-Ray extending their plant into two adjacent industrial units. This project created an additional engineering workshop and extended the main production lines, enhancing Essex X-Ray’s in-house manufacturing capabilities.

New plant and equipment including CNC machine centres, combined with the principles of lean manufacturing will drive reduced lead times and an increased capacity. Essex X-Ray are committed to meeting the demands of the markets they are in, whilst controlling costs for their business and customers.

Staff at Essex X-Ray have benefitted from a renovated canteen that has doubled in size. Additional car parking is now available on site and a new access point for commercial vehicles has been created. The expansion project was completed on schedule in January 2015.
